Malba Birifor in Ghana

Birifor/Biriforli is a language spoken in northern Ghana. It belongs to a group of Oti-Volta languages that includes Dagaare, Dagara and Wali, all of which are spoken in areas west of the Sissala in the Upper West Region of Ghana in areas such as Lambussie-Nandom, Lawra-Jirapa, Wa and some parts of Bole District to the south of Wa town. Birifor, like Safalba, another closely related language, is spoken in an area south of Wa in Bole District of the Savannah Region.
